11th YEAR-END CHRISTMAS
GATHERING OF TMPCWA
On the 17th and 18th December
2011, TMPCWA successfully launch the eleventh (11th) year
Christmas gathering for the illegally dismissed members and
families. At this year two days activity were prepared to give
the dismissed members and families the chance to get together
again with good relaxing time in a well known beach resort which
categorizes as the Boracay of Batangas in San Juan province of
Batangas (in south Luzon).
In this activity, the illegally
dismissed members discussed the organising of all Toyota workers
not only at the factory level but including all Toyota network
and autoworkers in the whole National Capital Region (NCR). The
resolution of newly type organizing was made during the
unification of the members of TMPCWA. The new design of this
organising campaign of TMPCWA will benefit the more than a
decade of struggle specially of the illegally dismissed Toyota
workers.
After the unification meeting of the
members and families, TMPCWA distributed some gifts of
Christmast package for each family members. The package is not
expensive grocery items but the union make it sure that the
families can have their food to prepare in the eve of
Christmas. The illegally dismissed members and their families
are very happy to receive it. Most of the family said that this
is one of the most happy year-end gathering they experienced.
Other dismissed members could not able to attend because many of
them could not able to allow to use their vacation leave because
of the fixed season, but they made a confirmation on whatever
decision and resolution to be made in this activity, they are
united with it.
Illegally dismissed member Allan
Vergarra and family donated two pig to make sure the food will
be enough for two days, their families also prepared the cooking
with the help of other dismissed members living close to their
town. Vergarra family also provides containers of mineral water
and dispenser so that hot and cold water will always be there in
case it is needed.
There are solidarity support and
presence from the Kilusang Mayo Uno (May First Movement) -
National Capital Region (NCR) and one of the main speaker during
the meeting in coordination with Defend Job Philippines and
TMPCWA. AKAP BATA member also present and helps TMPCWA for the
children activity during the unification meeting. This children
activity program was design by TMPCWA, so that the children can
surely taken care using the educational program and children
organizing separately, to make it sure those children will
not disturb their parents while attending important
organizational discussion.
This activity will not become possible
without the support and help from the Supporting Group of TMPCWA
in Japan and the ZENZOSEN as the mother Federation and the
German Filipino Friendship-GFF organization in Germany that
provides help to overcome all expenses including Christmas
package.
Before the end of the two days activity
of TMPCWA, the members and their families promised to continue
to struggle and will intensify the organizing effort as well as
supporting all the plan, action and campaign of the union in
both local and international.
